Modern Residential Fire Attack

   

Course Objectives: Student will be able to understand the dangers associated with modern single family dwelling fire attack. This course will provide the student with both legacy and modern dwelling attributes. The course will also look into modern construction and furnishings and the suppression issues they create. Course Synopsis: This course is designed to assist firefighters in the understanding of modern single family dwelling fire suppression. The course is divided into five units of instruction. (1) Introduction of modern fire attack principles. (2) The current conditions faced in legacy and modern dwellings. (3) Ventilation issues faced in modern single family dwelling fires. (4) Suppression issues faced in modern single family dwelling fires. (5) Size Up and decision making issues faced in modern single family dwellings.
