Fire Apparatus Operator: Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting

   

This course is based on NFPA 1002: Standard on Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications, and may lead to Pro Board and IFSAC certifications. The course is designed for fire apparatus drivers who will be operating a fire department emergency vehicle intended to carry rescue and firefighting equipment for rescuing occupants and combating fires in aircraft at, or in the vicinity of an airport.

Pre-Requisites

  • 18 years of age
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • IFSAC or Pro Board Certified Fire Fighter II
  • IFSAC or Pro Board Certified Airport Fire Fighter
  • Successful completion of the EVD course (previous AO certification will meet the EVD completion requirement)
